It’s hard to imagine anything bad ever happening in picturesque Haven Harbor, Maine–until a famous face rolls into town and unthreads some very dark secrets. . .
Angie Curtis and the Mainely Needlepointers are all too familiar with the Gardener estate. The crumbling Victorian mansion, known as “Aurora,” has been sitting vacant for nearly twenty-five years–and some say it’s haunted by the ghost of Jasmine Gardener, the teenage girl who died there in 1970 under mysterious circumstances…
Harbor Haven is abuzz with excitement when Hollywood actress Skye West decides to buy Aurora and sell off its furnishings. And Angie is intrigued when Skye asks her to appraise the estate’s sizable collection of needlepoint pictures. But the more she examines the pieces, the more they seem to point toward Jasmine’s murder–and the murderer–and it’s up to her to stitch the clues together. . .
But can Sunshine and Aine put aside their differences to stop the murders without tearing each other apart?
My Review
It's an exciting history, really well written, the writing flow beautifully, the plot is great with many twists and unexpected events
In a estate named Aurora, an ancient palace of Maine, a girl died mysteriously forty years ago. It was dismissed as an accident but the girl's mother has always thought someone had killed her. This tragedy divided the family Gardener forever: her father went away and her mother remained alone in despair. In the meantime this house has been neglected and now needs many renovations. The new owner asks Angie and her friend Sarah to help her  with the restructuring. They accept but decide to investigate and discover the truth about this mystery and do justice to this unfortunate girl.
I really liked the setting, this small town in Maine is really cute, I would love to visit it. The characters are lovable and well developed. The quotes at the start of  chapters are really funny
It's the second book in A Mainely Needlepoint series, I liked the first one so much and I could not wait to read this one.

I received an advance reader edition of this book from Kensington via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.

  1. I love your blog, thanks for giving me what I need. To put this and other books on my "must read" list. Mysterious death? Abandoned, haunted house? Needlepoint? Yeah...I'm in!
